Skilled Nursing

When short term rehabilitation is recommended following a hospital stay, Olde Knox Commons is the provider of choice in Huntersville North Carolina. From the point of admission until discharge back to their prior living setting, our patients receive monitoring by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants, twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Nursing monitors a patient’s condition, and nursing assistants provide help with bathing, dressing, eating and transferring. Wound care nurses monitor patients with post-surgical wounds.

Our staff regularly works with patients on their goals in support of the physical, occupational and speech therapy sessions and offers encouragement, for a safe discharge plan to home.

When a patient is educated about their medical condition, they are successful upon returning home. That is why the nursing team at Olde Knox Commons team closely works with patients and their family to provide information that will help them to live a happy and healthy life.

At Olde Knox Commons, we believe that a meaningful stay at our facility begins and ends with our skilled nursing staff. Their training and years of experience are often what makes our rehabilitation programs and long-term care stays so successful. Upon admission, our staff works with patients to determine any special dietary requirements and our skilled nursing staff is accessible and available. Compassionate care and detailed training and experience are two of the hallmarks of our skilled nursing team and they are what help set Olde Knox Commons apart from other rehabilitative and long-term care facilities.

Nursing stations are on every hall so that our skilled nursing team can respond to each patient's needs, and call bells are available for residents to make requests to our nursing staff.
